Housing Finance Marketplace

Oct 21, 2015

Meet and Engage with Housing Finance Investors at the AUHF 2015 Conference and AGM in Durban, South Africa

WHEN: 26-27 October, 2015 WHERE: Garden Court, Marine Parade, Durban, South Africa The Housing Finance Marketplace is a combined effort by the African Union for Housing Finance (AUHF) and the Making Finance Work for Africa Partnership (MFW4A)
to increase access to assistance for housing finance projects in Africa. As many stakeholders are unaware of how funding and technical assistance from investors can be tapped for projects, the Marketplace creates a platform that not only fills this information gap between stakeholders and investors, but also increases the ease of accessing assistance for specific projects. The Marketplace will be launched on October 27,
at the upcoming
AUHF 2015 Conference and AGM in Durban, South Africa. It includes a panel discussion, A Housing Finance Marketplace: Current DFI Expectations, from high-level representatives of participating donors' organizations who will present their existing programs, as well as their strategies, tools and instruments in the housing sector. Panellist will include:
  • Lead Presenter: Olivier Hassler, Housing Finance Expert
  • Christian Agossa,
    CRRH-UEMOA;
  • Kevin Kihara, Shelter Afrique;
  • Christophe Lalande, UN Habitat; and
  • Simon Walley, The World Bank.
  • Moderator: Habib Attia, MFW4A
Breakaway one-on-one meetings
between donors and stakeholders
will take place on the morning of the second day.
If you have a project that requires funding or technical assistance, the Marketplace will allow you to propose it to investors at the conference, or register interest for promotion among investors who are not able to attend this year. To join the Marketplace, please fill in and submit a short questionnaire.
